Refund Policy

Last updated: 14 June 2026

This Refund Policy applies to donations made to Noolpiravi Foundation, operating the Manuscripts & Inscriptions Digitization Foundation (“MIDF”), through https://midf.org.in.

1. Donations are generally non-refundable

Donations are voluntary contributions towards our charitable mission and are, as a general rule, non-refundable once successfully processed. Please review your donation amount and details carefully before confirming payment.

2. When a refund may be considered

We will review refund requests in good faith in the following situations:

  • a duplicate payment caused by a technical or processing error;
  • an amount debited that is materially different from the amount you intended to donate due to a system error;
  • an unauthorised transaction that you did not make;
  • a payment that was deducted but for which the donation did not complete.

3. How to request a refund

To request a refund, please email finance@midf.org.in within 7 days of the transaction, with the following details:

  • donor name and registered email/phone;
  • donation reference number and/or payment ID;
  • date and amount of the transaction; and
  • the reason for the refund request.

4. Processing of refunds

Approved refunds are made to the original payment method used for the donation. Once approved, refunds are typically initiated within 5–7 working days; the time for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

5. Effect on tax exemption (80G)

If a donation for which an 80G tax-exemption certificate has already been issued is refunded, the certificate becomes void and you must not claim, or must reverse, any tax benefit associated with that donation.
