This website, https://midf.org.in(the “Website”), is operated by Noolpiravi Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation operating the Manuscripts & Inscriptions Digitization Foundation (“MIDF”, “we”, “us” or “our”), with its registered office at 9G, Vandana Building, 11 Tolstoy Marg, Connaught Place, New Delhi 110001, India.
By accessing or using the Website, or by making a donation through it, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. About us and our mission
MIDF is a non-profit initiative dedicated to digitizing India’s manuscripts and inscriptions into a searchable, AI-ready public repository for research, education and cultural preservation. Donations received through the Website are applied towards this charitable mission.
2. Use of the Website
You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, interfere with its operation, or use it in any way that may damage, disable or impair the Website or interfere with any other party’s use of it.
3. Donations
- All donations are voluntary and are made to support MIDF’s charitable objectives.
- Donations are applied at the discretion of the organisation towards the fund or programme you select (or, where none is selected, towards our general fund) in furtherance of our mission.
- Eligible donations may qualify for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Receipts and, where applicable, 80G certificates are issued to the contact and PAN details you provide.
- You confirm that the funds used for any donation are from lawful sources and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Payments
Online payments are processed through our third-party payment gateway, Razorpay, and other banking channels (UPI and bank transfer). We do not collect or store your card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking passwords or other sensitive payment credentials; these are handled directly by the payment gateway and your bank. Your use of the payment gateway is also subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
5. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy, which form part of these Terms.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the Website — including text, graphics, logos, and the MIDF name and marks — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission. Digitized materials hosted on our platforms are made available subject to their respective access and usage terms.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Website.
8. Third-party links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those websites.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi, India.
